GD32A5 Series
GD32A5 series of automotive-grade microcontrollers are built upon an automotive-grade process platform, conforming to automotive-grade design concepts and production standards, meeting the high reliability and stability requirements of automotive applications.
GD32A5 automotive-grade series MCU is based on the 100MHz Cortex®-M33 core, equipped with 384KB Flash and 48KB SRAM, plus a dedicated code space configurable as 64KB DFlash/4KB EEPROM. The chip operates with a wide voltage supply of 2.7-5.5V, has an operating temperature range of -40 to +125°C, and boasts a working life of over 15 years. To facilitate diversified body control and interconnected applications, the GD32A5 integrates a variety of communication interfaces to enhance connectivity, supporting up to 3 USARTs, 2 I2Cs, 2 SPIs, and 1 I2S. It is also equipped with 2 CAN FDs and 3 LINs. Based on development application needs, the newly added MFCOM components can be flexibly configured as USART/SPI/I2C/LIN, etc., further enhancing the flexibility of solution design. It integrates 1 general-purpose 16-bit timer, 2 basic timers, and 4 PWM advanced timers. The internal 12-bit ADC has a sampling rate of up to 1M SPS and integrates high-precision analog peripherals such as fast comparators and DACs to support automotive motor control. The Flash/RAM of the GD32A5 supports ECC checking, data communication supports CRC checking, and it is equipped with features such as high and low voltage monitoring (BOR/PDR), clock monitoring, etc., to provide hardware assurance for the safe and stable operation of the system. With excellent electrostatic protection and anti-interference capabilities (ESD/EFT), it meets the automotive electronics requirements of low failure rate and high reliability.
With its multitude of outstanding features, the GD32A5 series MCU can be widely used in various automotive scenarios, such as window, wiper, air conditioning, smart locks, electric seats, electric trunks, ambient lighting, dynamic taillights and other body control systems, automotive lighting systems, and motor power systems, as well as instrument panels, car audio and video, entertainment sound systems, central control navigation, in-vehicle wireless charging and other smart cockpit systems. Thanks to the exceptional safety monitoring mechanisms, the GD32A5 is also suitable for some ADAS assistant driving systems, such as surround view cameras, AVAS acoustic warning systems, and more.
