Overview
GD32 has launched dedicated product series for various specialized applications, including optical modules, fingerprint recognition, printers, and more. We will continue to expand the GD32 MCU product family and continue to deepen the exploration and development in these specialized fields.
Product Series

The GD32E501 series of enhanced microcontrollers is based on the Arm® Cortex-M33® core. This series continues to advance the localization efforts in the field of photoelectric transmission, strengthen the seamless upgrade path from the existing GD32E232 series products, and form an application suite that matches various transmission rates and application scenarios in optical networks. This series comprehensively addresses the data processing and monitoring needs of various optical module markets, including optical fiber routers, switches, 5G transmission, data centers, and cloud servers.The GD32E501 series MCUs are available in two package types, including BGA64 and QFN32, with a compact size of 4x4mm, and include six product models.

The GD32E232 series is based on the Arm® Cortex®-M23 core.
This series integrates on-chip memory, timers, data converters and many peripheral interfaces in a compact package. Available in 4×4 mm and 3×3 mm packages, they are particularly well-suited for applications requiring high precision measurement with long delays, such as high-frequency pulse measurements, long pulse width waveform captures, or periodic signals that produce large interval delays. These types of applications are commonly seen in end equipment such as optical modules, photoelectric converters, fiber optic networks, base station systems, precision instruments, industrial control and automation systems.

The GD32EPRT series supports SQPI controllers for connection to memory peripherals such as SQPI Flash and SQPI PSRAM with serial, two- and four-wire parallel interfaces. This makes it easy to expand external storage resources, for applications like mobile printers, display screens, fingerprint recognition, OTA upgrades, and other occasions that require large RAM caches. The GD32EPRT series also integrates 4MB of PSRAM on the chip, meeting development needs in a single step.

The GD32FFPR fingerprint recognition series of dedicated MCUs provides a secure, high-speed and cost-effective hardware development platform for fingerprint recognition systems. As a stable and reliable information protection and identity confirmation technology, fingerprint recognition technology is increasingly widespread and has broad market prospects. The GD32FFPR series dedicated MCUs support the application and popularization of fingerprint recognition algorithms with enhanced processing power, fully optimized resource allocation and power efficiency, low cost, and flexible and easy-to-use design, further strengthening the market coverage of GD32 series MCUs.
