Overview

GigaDevice GD32 Application-Specific MCUs are designed to address the unique requirements of specialized embedded applications. Built on Arm® Cortex® cores, these MCUs integrate application-focused features and optimized peripheral resources to simplify system design and improve overall performance. The portfolio includes dedicated solutions for optical modules, motor control, industrial control, fingerprint recognition, printers, and other targeted applications, helping developers achieve higher integration, improved efficiency, and faster product development.

Product Series

  • The GD32E512/511/501 series MCUs adopt the high-performance Arm® Cortex®-M33 core with a maximum clock frequency of 120 MHz. This series newly integrates the high-speed I3C communication interface, meeting stringent requirements of high bandwidth, low latency and high-density communication for high-speed optical modules.

  • Equipped with the high-performance Arm® Cortex®-M23 core operating at 72 MHz. This product series is engineered for product upgrades in low-speed optical module scenarios, delivering greatly enhanced analog performance alongside merits including high integration, low power consumption and outstanding stability. It serves as an ideal match for application sectors such as access networks and industrial optical communications.Furthermore, GD32E252/251/232 series integrate on-chip memory, timers, data converters and a comprehensive array of interface peripherals, while bringing brand-new programmable capabilities and compact package dimensions.

  • The GD32EPRT series supports SQPI controllers for connection to memory peripherals such as SQPI Flash and SQPI PSRAM with serial, two- and four-wire parallel interfaces. This makes it easy to expand external storage resources, for applications like mobile printers, display screens, fingerprint recognition, OTA upgrades, and other occasions that require large RAM caches. The GD32EPRT series also integrates 4MB of PSRAM on the chip, meeting development needs in a single step.

  • The GD32FFPR fingerprint recognition series of dedicated MCUs provides a secure, high-speed and cost-effective hardware development platform for fingerprint recognition systems. As a stable and reliable information protection and identity confirmation technology, fingerprint recognition technology is increasingly widespread and has broad market prospects. The GD32FFPR series dedicated MCUs support the application and popularization of fingerprint recognition algorithms with enhanced processing power, fully optimized resource allocation and power efficiency, low cost, and flexible and easy-to-use design, further strengthening the market coverage of GD32 series MCUs.

  • Built around the Arm® Cortex®-M33 core, the GD32M531 series integrates dedicated motor control hardware accelerators and highly integrated peripherals.With outstanding computing performance, precise control capabilities, and industrial-grade high reliability, it supports accurate dual-motor + PFC control.It provides high-efficiency, cost-effective solutions for a wide range of motor control applications, including air conditioner outdoor units, air source heat pumps, washers/dryers, dishwashers, multi-burner induction cookers, and others.
